Alhamdulillah, habis juga exam kali ni. This is my 1st major exam after returning from dublin.. and ni lah kali pertama ambik exam after holiday (study break sebenarnya). Of course, bila dah cuti, and kat rumah, mana ada membelek-belek buku pon. 24hours dok dpn tv je. But, i returned to penang 2 weeks before the exam dgn rancangan tuk fokusss, study... apakan daya, internet pula yg menjadi punca fokusku beralih.
Well, i would say i didn't do my best for this exam ( since exam ni x barring) but still, this exam will contribute marks to my finals.. menyesal pon x berguna sbb nasi dah jadi bubur. Tp, i will take this as iktibar dan pengajaran supaya x tngguh2 kerja, study continuously and make notesss plz!
Just for rujukan, nak cter2 skit lah pasal exam ni. Basically, exam start dgn written paper for surgery and medicine ( 2 separate papers), followed by family med OSCE and lastly conjoint long case medicine and surgery.
For written paper surgery,soalan dia straightforward. Ada byk soalan anatomy jugak. Contohnya pasal virchows triad, inguinal hernia etc. N ada beberapa soalan pasal assessment/ grading for certain disease. Utk EMQ, soalan short case yg mention about 2-3 symtoms of certain disease.
Utk medicine written, mostly soalan short case MCQ and EMQ. So, we shoud be totally prepare about sign and sympt, lab result of certain disease etc.
Utk family med OSCE, basically ada 5 stations. Utk kli ni, station yg ada ialah venopuncture, bp, injection subcutaneous, how to use inhaler and how to take mid stream urine and urinalysis.
Lastly,for conjoint long case medicine and surgery, student number yg even no, dpt medicine case and odd no got surgery case. basically u' ve got 40minutes for hx, PE and preparing for presentation. It's better tuk allocate 20min for hx, 10min for PE and 10min for arranging ur notes for presentation. Then, u'll be assessed by 2 doctor, 1 from surgical department and another 1 from medicine dep. U'll be asked few quest after your presentation and they might ask u to perform certain examination to the pt. So,lebih kurng mcm present wktu bedside teaching lah. But most of the doctor are very gentle and kind. They wont marah2 sbb u just 3rd yr. And 70% of the marks come from ur presentation only. So the questions mcm additional marks lah.
Don't worry. Lets do better for the next exam~~
